Dear Genie Community,

Today marks the beginning of a new stage in our mission: we're proud to announce Genie is joining Doss, the leading AI-native Adaptive Resource Planning platform that's redefining how businesses scale their operations. The Genie platform will officially sunset on August 31, 2025, as we fully integrate into Doss.

When I founded Genie just over three years ago, it was a bit of a moonshot. We set out to tackle one of the toughest problems in e-commerce - operations - and turn it into an effortless, intuitive experience. Our goal was clear: equip fast-growing brands to manage operational complexity with ease and scale profitably. Over these past three years, our small but mighty team has pursued that goal relentlessly.

Our AI-driven platform quickly took off, powered by forecasting, real-time inventory tracking, and automated purchase ordering. By July 2025, more than 300 brands trusted Genie, managing $18 million in monthly purchase orders across half a million SKUs and nearly 20,000 suppliers. Brands like onewith, Verve Wines, and Ornot turned operational hurdles into competitive advantages, growing faster and smarter.

Why Doss?

The decision to join forces with Doss grew naturally from a shared vision. When we first met founders Wiley and Arnav in San Francisco, we quickly discovered a strong alignment in our values and goals. A memorable day of whiteboarding, late-night Shopify debugging, and friendly yet competitive pool biliard set the stage for deeper collaboration.

As we began supporting customers who had outgrown Genie in migrating to Doss, we saw firsthand how seamlessly Genie’s strengths complemented Doss’s powerful, adaptable platform. Brands rapidly benefited from improved inventory management across multiple locations, advanced accounting integrations, and highly personalized workflows. Witnessing these success stories reinforced our belief that together, Genie and Doss can deliver unparalleled clarity and operational excellence.

With Doss’s recent $18 million Series A funding, we now have the opportunity to significantly amplify the impact of our original mission. By combining Genie’s intuitive approach with Doss’s robust capabilities, we're positioned to better serve growing entrepreneurs at scale.

What This Means for You

Here's what's next:

Genie remains fully operational until August 31, 2025. After this date, access to Genie ends, but your Shopify data remains secure within Shopify.
Genie-specific data must be exported using our migration guide before that date.
Brands needing advanced operational capabilities can transition smoothly to Doss. We're working closely with their team to support your migration and encourage you to explore Doss's offerings.
